Mediaworks designs new look for Art-BC

BRITISH COLUMBIA Art-BC.com, the online Arts & Cultural Guide to BC, is proud to announce the launch of our new logo!

For over a decade, the Van Dop Arts & Cultural guide has provided travelers with cultural adventures as well as local arts enthusiasts with the best of BC's cultural experiences. What began as a small brochure has now expanded into a 160 page guide with a companion website featuring thousands of cultural activities and experiences in the province.

With the development of several online resources such as the online Guide Art-BC.com and the virtual publication of the Arts and Cultural Guide with easy to navigate pages, links and printable pages, the Guide will be launching a new marketing strategy alongside the release of a new logo.

A Celebration of Art:

The new logo, created by Mediaworks, was designed to become a symbol synonymous with cultural excellence - a signal to all cultural enthusiasts of a Guide approved cultural experience.

Our new logo represents the spirit of the diverse nature of art throughout our province. We wanted a design that was clean, easy to read and dynamic at the same time. Since the logo is a celebration of art it has been designed to be versatile and lend itself to various applications using different colors and elements within the square giving it a sense of spontaneity.
Following the lead of other consumer guides, the recognizable new logo will be featured as a storefront decal to be displayed in the window of each Art-BC.com approved location. The strategy plans to assist guide users in identifying Art Guide participants - giving them the Guide's guarantee of a quality experience.

To find out what is featured in your community, visit Art-BC.com and check out upcoming events as well as year-round cultural activities near you. Look out in the Spring of 2013 for the new printed guide, a two-year publication featuring the best of BC's cultural experiences.

The logo has been designed to use different colors and different backgrounds depending on the application.

Virtual Office + New Phone Numbers

Mediaworks is moving from our physical Port Coquitlam location to a virtual office. We’re looking forward to this transition because it will allow us to work more efficiently as well as maintain our high level of customer service. Also this will give us the opportunity to get out and visit our clients more often. Our new phone number is 604-250-6395 and 778-918-0492 for the Art Department.

New look for the Bridge

With this latest issue of the Bridge which is the newsletter of the School of Social Work at UBC we felt it was time for a facelift. We added more white space through out and cleaned up the overall look which we feel makes for a more readable publication.

Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival 2011

We just completed a really interesting project, we were asked to design a new look for the logo, the poster and the website for this years' Burnaby Blues + Roots Festival which takes place in August at Deer Lake park in Burnaby. It was a great design project and the show this year features an interesting line up of musicians with kd lang as the headliner, as well as blues legend John Mayall. Have a look here for the complete line up: http://www.burnabybluesfestival.com/lineUp_2011.htm.
