We were happy to assist the Burnaby Arts Council with the development of a visual identity as well as the design of marketing material for the upcoming Culture Blast. The design approach was straight forward...convey a sense of excitement and energy.

inDesign user group meeting

Last night we headed downtown to attend the Vancouver Adobe inDesign User Group meeting. This meeting featured two local advertising studio and prepress professionals who shared their knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign, and as always it was a worthwhile and an informative evening.

Back to school...again

Well it's that time of the year again, so that means we're heading back to class to sharpen our collective skill levels and add to the services that we'll be able to offer our clients.

On the list this year we'll be taking courses designed to keep us current with the latest software on the color management and production techniques. As well we'll be exploring the ins and outs of viral marketing and campaigns employing social media. Adding to our expertise in traditional book design and publishing of physical books, we will be pushing into the world of e-publishing.

We see this as an avenue that will greatly benefit a number of our existing as well as potential clients. E-books recently outsold hardcover books at  Amazon.

Website refresher

We've been busy working behind the scenes on updating and refreshing the websites for Yaletown Mini Storage and Storage on Terminal. Management wanted to add more useful information for potential and existing clients as well as showcasing how clean and well maintained these 2 heritage storage facilities are. We also added the ability to track their web traffic for them.

Packaging, packaging and more packaging!

Smooth finish, re-sealable stand up pouches.

Our challenge was to provide a stand up pouch for the Vega Smoothie line that felt soft and smooth to the touch and had rounded corners. The pouch had to have a matte finish with high gloss spot varnish and the print quality had to be of the highest quality. We sourced, printed and delivered and the Sequel Naturals product launch stayed on track. We would be happy to discus any of your package requests, just give us a call 604-945-1822.

We were called out recently to photograph one of Hiway Fuels Ltd trucks being taken on a barge from downtown over to Brockton Point to fuel up the generator for the lights on the Olympic rings. Have a look at one of our more interesting assignments.
